Why God Hates "Ingratitude"
What is “ingratitude”?
INGRATITUDE -- in Essence -- is the failure or refusal to acknowledge favors bestowed on oneself by another, especially when one could not have attained said favors on one’s own.
One of the manifestations of ingratitude is seen in the one who thinks he deserved the favor he received. Such a one might carry an air of arrogance about him/her, which might cause him/her to think he or she is entitled to some "privileged" status.
Another manifestation of ingratitude is seen in the one who thinks he deserves more, or better, than what was bestowed upon him. This can also be expressed in the form of complaints about what one “doesn’t have”, as opposed to being thankful for what one does have.
Yet another manifestation of ingratitude is seen in one’s abuse, neglect or ignoring of favors bestowed upon him.
In all of these cases, the receiver of the favors suffers from a basic misunderstanding of the relationship between himself and the Giver, and thus cannot fully appreciate the value of the favor bestowed upon him (or her). He tends to think more of himself than he should, and think less of the Giver than he should; and therefore cannot appreciate the favor as he should.
(How can you be truly grateful for something you don’t understand the value of?)
Allah (God) is the Supreme Giver and the Great Bestower of Favors upon His Creatures! The Greatest Gift He has Given us is the Gift of Life, Itself.
Have we been grateful for such a Gift?
Have we done with our Lives what God Intended we do?
Next to Life, Itself, Allah’s Greatest Gift or Favor to us is that of Divine Guidance!
Why does Man need Divine Guidance? It is because we live in a world that is in total rebellion against the Will and Purpose of God; and, from the cradle, our minds are shaped and fashioned after the darkness of this world.
So now, humanity is literally lost in the darkness of ignorance and the suffering that comes with it, and we can’t seem – no matter how hard we try – to find our way out of this “intense darkness”. So we continue in error, constantly violating the nature and purpose of our existence, thus making our own lives a living hell!
Crime, poverty, drug abuse, self-hatred, failed relationships, depression, suicide, prostitution, homosexuality, slavery, war, etc...
Who can deny that we are in desperate need of Divine Guidance?
Who can deny that we are in need of a Divine Guide to teach us how to live that Guidance?
If God were to Give us such Guidance... If God were to Give us such a Guide...
Would we be “grateful”?
Would we demonstrate “gratitude” or “ingratitude”?
Remember, “gratitude” is more than just saying “thank you”!
“Gratitude” requires more than just “feeling good” about a Gift that was given to you, and about the One who Gave it to you.
“Gratitude” is best demonstrated in the proper use of the Gift that is Given to you, or in the proper response to the Purpose for which the Gift was Given!
Why do we need to know this?
How do YOU feel when you give someone a gift or bestow on them a favor that they fail to show appreciation or gratitude for? How does that make YOU feel, as the “giver”?
“Ingratitude” makes the Giver want to take back the gift that he gave, and sometimes he will give it to someone else who will demonstrate more gratitude for the Gift (or Favor).
Likewise, “Gratitude” inspires the Giver to want to give more!
(“I am come that they might have Life, and have it more abundantly.” –Jesus)
Why does God Give us Life?
It is to carry on His Great Work.
Why does God Give us Guidance?
It is to deliver us from our ignorance and suffering, that we may carry on His Great Work.
Are we demonstrating “gratitude” for these Precious Gifts from God...or “ingratitude”?
“Ingratitude” is actually an injustice, because it takes man away from the Universal Order and Will of God; and it takes man away from his own nature. So a man who is ungrateful is a man who is unjust to himself. He is destroying his own peace...just by being “ungrateful”.
Allah says, in the Holy Qur’an, that He “...gives you of all you ask of Him. And if you count Allah's favours, you will not be able to number them. Surely man is very unjust, very ungrateful.”
In another place, Allah says that “when distress afflicts you in the sea, away go those whom you call on except He; but when He brings you safe to the land, you turn away. And man is ever ungrateful.”
Therefore, it is not a question of whether or not we have been ungrateful to God, or unjust to ourselves...because we all have. We all have been born into a world of wickedness and rebellion against God, and all of us have been poisoned by the wickedness of this world. The Bible teaches us that “all have sinned, and fallen short of the Glory of God.” So all of us have demonstrated some degree of ingratitude to our Creator, and all of us have been unjust to ourselves and others. So Allah makes us to bear witness, in our prayers, “I have been greatly unjust to myself, and I confess my faults,” ...and in our Nature, we know when we are being unjust to ourselves. So we don’t have to ask “have I been unjust to myself”...or “have I been ungrateful to Allah (God)”. We all can bear witness that we have been.
It’s more about the question, “Who is willing to come back to God and make a Change?” “Who is willing to humble himself, and pray, and seek God’s Face, and turn from the wicked ways of this world?”
It’s about, “Who has had enough of the suffering caused by our ignorance and ingratitude, and is ready now to strive to live the life that God intended, so that He might Bless us with His Favors...and save us from His Chastisement?”
Have we had enough? Are we tired of being “ungrateful”? Are we tired of being “unjust” to ourselves?
Are we ready for a change?
If we are, then we must know that as Allah – out of His Beneficence and Mercy – has already Given us the Gift of Life and the Gift of Divine Guidance, He also has given to US a Divine Guide from Himself – a Man who not only has been prepared by God to “show” us the Way, but who IS The Way...IS The Truth...IS The Life; and that man – that Precious Gift that Allah has Given to US – is the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan.
The Question is...
“Will we be grateful?...or ungrateful?”
The choice is yours. Let us choose wisely.
As-Salaam Alaikum.

Health Care, the Million Man March, and Spiritual Blindness
This past Saturday -- September 12, 2009 -- a vast crowd of "conservative" Americans marched on Washington, DC, to protest President Obama's much maligned health care proposals.
I don't know how many people attended the protest, and I will not speculate; but there are those who are already finding a rationale to compare this march/protest with the Historic "Million Man March", in terms of numbers, and thus by suggestion, in terms of significance...as if the number of people, alone, who attend a rally is a sign of the importance of the rally.
Some of the estimates I have read cite the attendance of the protest as somewhere between 100,000 and "2 million", and almost all of the articles covering the event include the Million Man March as a reference point to measure the significance of the protest (a fact which, in itself, underscores the significance of the Million Man March).
Even if the so-called "Tea Party", this past Saturday, did "outdraw" the Million Man March in "numbers", it in no way compares to the Million Man March in terms of its Universal Significance. The Million Man March was not a "political protest". It was a demonstration by the "depised and rejected" of this nation -- Black Men (and Women) of America -- of our desire to Atone to the God of Creation, the Author of our Existence, for our failure to live up to our responsibilities as Men across this country. It was a show of Gratitude to Almighty God for a clear Warner in the Person of the Hon. Louis Farrakhan. It was a strategic event intended to save untold numbers of young black men from a plan to slaughter them under the guise of "national security". It was a Divinely Inspired and Divinely Guided demonstration of Faith, Hope and Love. There has never been such a demonstration in the history of America before that day -- October 16, 1995 -- or SINCE that day. The Million Man March simply cannot be put in the same category as a "protest" fueld by the dissatisfaction of conservatives with a government that they helped to corrupt.
However, that is not to say that Saturday's March/Protest was not significant. I believe it was VERY significant. Whenever we see hundreds(?) of thousands of people in the society take to the streets to PROTEST what they feel are unjust policies, that is a serious sign that the country is headed toward revolution. The dissatisfaction of the people is so great now, that the people are growing less and less tolerant of anything that they believe is an obstacle to their legitimate needs for peace and security; but when the effort to attain such virtues is corrupted by deceptive propaganda, political expedience and racism, and general godlessness, then the stage eventually becomes set for a dangerously volatile eruption.
This should be clear to those in positions of power in government. It should be clear to the social scientists. It should be clear to the historians and the students of the rise and fall of nations.
Why, then, is so little attention being given to addressing the legitimate needs of these citizens who are in fear for their futures; and so much attention being given to whether or not Saturday's protest "outnumbered" the Million Man March? What is hindering those who can read the "handwriting on the wall" from taking action and empowering the public with information that might save this nation from another civil war? What right-minded man would not seek to lead his family out of a burning house when he sees flames engulfing it?
Are we dealing with "right minded" men in government? Or, are they so spiritually blinded by what the Hon. Louis Farrakhan refers to as "inordinate self-interest" ( please read "A Torchlight for America"), that they cannot see the consequences of depriving the public of Truth and Real Solutions to the problems of this nation?
Dear reader, with conditions in America obviously deteriorating exponentially with each passing day, we don't have time for meaningless disputes. As the Hon. Elijah Muhammad warned us, years ago, America is falling, and only right action -- Divinely Guided action -- can check the fall.
If those in positions of power in America do not act soon, and effectively, and heed the Divine Guidance contained in the Warnings coming from the Hon. Louis Farrakhan, then America will most certainly fall, and great will be her fall...and "all the king's horses and all the king's men" will not be able to put America back together again.
Something to think about.

President Obama, the "Anti-Christ"?
Salaam (Peace) to all.
(Note: I plan to fill this post out with added information over the next few days, God willing.)
Let me begin by stating, for the record, that I do NOT believe that President Obama is the "Anti-Christ".
However, there are those who are apparently bent on promoting the idea of such. One such person, whom I have only been able to identify thus far as "ppsimmons", via YouTube, has posted a video presenting such a proposition, and using the name of a "Jewish Rabbi" in an attempt to lend credence to his claim...or, rather, "suggestion".
The video is here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sgHUZXgNAWo
The narrator, "ppsimmons", cites, from the Bible, Luke 10:18, Luke 8:5, and Isaiah 14:12-19 as the bases for his position.
Please give a listen to his argument, and then consider the following findings from Strong's Concordance of the Bible, below:
Luke 10:18 - "I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven."
Isaiah 14:12-14 - "How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations...I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High."
lightning:
[Greek Dictionary (NT), Entry #796] - "astrape" - "bright shining", "glare"
[Entry #797] - "astrapto" - to flash as lightning, to shine
[Hebrew Dictionary (OT), Entry #215, 216] - "owr" (or) - illumination, bright, clear, as in "lightning" or "happiness"; day; morning; sun
[OT Entry #965] - "bazaq" - to lighten; a flash of lightning
[OT Entry #1299, 1300] - "baraq" (baw rawk) - to lighten; lightning; a gleam as of a flashing sword; glittering.
[OT Entry #2385] - "khaw-zeez" - to glare; a flash of lightning; bright cloud; lightning
heaven:
[NT Entry #3772] - "ouranos" - the sky; heaven (the abode of God); happiness; power; eternity
[OT Entry #8064] - "shamayim" - to be lofty; the sky; the heavens (atmosphere, outer space)
heights:
[OT Entry #1116] - "bamah" (baw maw) - height, high place, wave
Interestingly enough, the word "antichrist" is NEVER ONCE used by JESUS in the Bible!
(Neither is "christian" nor "christianity", for that matter)
ALSO, I found the following from the OT Dictionary of the Concordance:
[OT Entry #1288] - "barak" - to bless God, as adoration
[OT Entry #1293] - "Berakah" - prosperity, blessing
In addition, please read and consider the following:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mubarak_(given_name)
Why is "ppsimmons" attempting to define an Arabic name using the Hebrew language?
Of the four Hebrew equivalents (above) to the Greek "astrape" (lightning), why is [#1299 - "baraq"] a more appropriate correlation than the other three?
Why did not "ppsimmons" include OT Entry #1288 (or 1293) - "barak" - as a possible correlation to the Arabic name "Barak", since that Hebrew word is almost identical in meaning (not just "sound")?
How could Jesus have given "the name" of "the antichrist" when, according to the Bible, he never used the term "antichrist"? This term is found only in 1John and 2John, and is not once used with the definite article, "the".
In other words, the expression "the antichrist" is not found in the authorized King James Version of the Bible.
I would encourage the readers of this post to look up the following words, as relates to "ppsimmons" post:
contrivance
conjecture
fallacy
"ppsimmons" is exploiting/misapplying the analogy between "Satan", "lightning", and "heaven" in an attempt to give a "satanic" connotation to the concept of "lightning", itself.
He then chooses the word for "lightning" that more closely resembles, in sound (not meaning), the name "Barak", thereby extending the "satanic" connotation to President Barack Obama.
If the President's name did, in fact, translate to "lightning", or carry the concept of such, then perhaps "ppsimmons" would have a logical "leg" to stand on. However, this is not the case.
"ppsimmons" is clearly intent on misleading the public by way of false logic, or "fallacy", by suggesting an association that does not exist in fact, and by using the "color of authority" - a "Jewish Rabbi" - to legitimize his deception.
Very well did Jesus speak of such persons as "ppsimmons", who draw near to Jesus with their lips, but their hearts are far removed from Him.
Truth demands that such persons as "ppsimmons" be exposed and labelled for what they are...agents of Satan...whether witting or unwitting..
Let "ppsimmons" first prove that the Bible makes mention of a specific character called "AntiChrist", and of the specific circumstances surrounding his appearance in the world. Only then can he reasonably begin to search out the identity of such a character.
Otherwise, he can be dismissed as an "imp" of Satan...hiding under the Righteous Name of Jesus.

"Ye Must Be Born Again!"
In the Bible, we read that Jesus instructed his disciples that, if they wanted to see the Kingdom of God, they must be "born again".
I was thinking on this today, while selling the Final Call, and something occurred to me.
Let us consider that, to be "born" at all, one must first be "conceived". To "conceive" means to "take with", or to "catch with".
http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/conceive
A looser, implied meaning would be to "bring parts together as one complete unit".
As regards reproduction of the Human Form, to "conceive" means to bring together, as one, the respective male and female life germs -- the "fundamental" or "foundational" material of the new life that is to be "born".It is upon this "foundation" that the remainder of the development of the fetus rests.
This (conception) is what is required, then, as a "precondition" of being "born". What, then, would be the required precondition for being "born AGAIN"?
Similar to the example given above, in order to be "born AGAIN", one must first be "conceived" again; that is, one must have a "New Foundation" upon which to base his interpretation of Reality, his thoughts, his words and his actions.
The "old" foundation must be exposed, dismantled and uprooted altogether. This means that even our initial impressions of "The Teachings" -- being laid upon the "old" foundation (mind) -- must eventually be relinquished. We need an entirely New Foundation!
Until we have a New Foundation -- a New and Truer set of Fundamental Assumptions -- we cannot have a New or Better Understanding of Allah, Ourselves, Life and It's Divine Purpose. At best, we will be able to "talk" ABOUT the New, while still harbouring the "old" in our hearts.
This will not gain us entry into the Kingdom.
We must be Born Again!
Respectfully,
Bro. Reuben

Medical Update #1
This is a confidential update regarding Brother Jabril Muhammad’s medical condition. Anything having to do with one’s medical condition is considered to be confidential. Brother Jabril wants to share this with the readers. Before this report was sent publically, I gave Brother Jabril a copy of it, for his review. For those of you who know Brother Jabril, you know that he is a “context” and “detail” person. As you read this report, the words that are in bold are the part that I omitted that he wanted included in this update. (He told me to please read The Final Call for his reasons. Smile.) He gave me these words today Monday June 8, 2009, the same day I wrote this report. He told me that his reason would appear, Allah Willing, in next week’s issue of The Final Call.
<<<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>>>
On Wednesday May 27, 2009, Brother Jabril Muhammad was admitted to the hospital. His diagnosis was unresponsive and seizure disorder. He went into respiratory failure while in the emergency room and was intubated. He was not breathing on his own. The emergency room doctors worked to stabilize his condition before transferring him to Neuro ICU. One of the emergency room doctors wrote in his dictated medical report, “He (Jabril) was admitted and was witnessed to have convulsions in the ER, now in respiratory failure and on a ventilator, without showing signs of recovery.” Throughout his medical records, other words to that effect were stated. He was in extreme critical condition, with his arterial blood gases “all over the place.”
I witnessed everything that took place in the emergency room helping the doctors help Brother Jabril. I informed them what medicines works best for him while he’s in this condition etc. I also witnessed that he was unresponsive, even to pain!
After I informed the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan, from the emergency room, of Brother Jabril’s condition, he was very sorry to hear of what happen. Minister Farrakhan was already scheduled to come to Phoenix on another matter. So the next morning, Brother Minister and his two sons arrived at the hospital, straight from the airport. They arrived, in the room, approximately one minute or less after five or six Neurologists arrived in his room. I was in the process of giving all the doctors a complete medical history of Brother Jabril’s condition. I informed them of what medications and dosage of medications he’s taking; how often he has these episodes; how to prevent these episodes from getting to the point where he’s intubated etc, etc. They asked a few questions, which I answered and at one point, I politely advised them to decrease one of his IV medications and gave my reasons, which they agreed to do and they did. They also told me of their plans, of which I was 100 percent in agreement.
Minister Farrakhan witnessed Brother Jabril on the ventilator, hand strapped to the bed, to prevent him from pulling out his tubes. After the doctors left, Minister Farrakhan remarked, “I’m so sorry this happened to you, but Allah is the Best Knower. Brother Minister then leaned over to Brother Jabril and said in a loud voice, “Jib, get up out of this bed, we have work to do.” Brother Jabril opened his eyes and immediately recognized Minister Farrakhan. Brother Jabril tried to speak, but choked and starting coughing because of the tube he had down his throat to help him breathe. Brother Minister then quieted Brother Jabril and told him in a soft voice that he will be back once the tube is removed from his throat.
Absolutely, Allah is the Best Knower. A few hours after the visit from Minister Farrakhan, Brother Jabril was extubated, meaning that he was taken off life support. Brother Jabril’s first words after being extubated was, “How long have I been here?” Because of the heavy sedation, Brother Jabril was given over the last 24 hours; he slept the rest of that day. He awoke the next morning around 5:00 AM and told me that he saw Minister Farrakhan, face to face and that it was real. He said that he saw him in “this same building.” He then asked me, “What’s up?” [Keep in mind, Brother Jabril is just waking up from heavy sedation; from being on a ventilator—life support and he dose not realize that he is in a hospital.] But, one thing for sure, he told me that he knew that he saw Minister Farrakhan.
After orientating Brother Jabril to place and time, I informed him that he, did indeed, see Minister Farrakhan. I also informed Brother Jabril that he had a tube down his throat to help him breathe and could not talk to Minister Farrakhan although he tried and that Minister Farrakhan will be coming back this morning to see him.
Minister Farrakhan and his son Joshua came that morning to see Brother Jabril. I can say that I witnessed a very powerful and significant meeting between the two of them. Sister Monette, who works for me and is one month away from getting her RN degree, witnessed what she did. Allah willing, we’ll hear from her in Aphasia 9 (medical update #2). In the one-hour plus meeting, I could see that they were being affected by one another’s spirit. At the end, of their meeting, Minister Farrakhan actually mentioned that this meeting helped his spirit. I know, from a medical standpoint, that Brother Jabril was helped in many ways. I believe this accounted for his speedy recovery.
In 2006, I was blessed to be present during some of the questions raised by Brother Jabril to Minister Farrakhan for the Closing The Gap book. This meeting between the two of them reminded me of that time period. They were ready right then and there to go to work. As Minister Farrakhan told Brother Jabril on the first day of his visit to Brother Jabril, despite Brother Jabril’s condition, that “we have work to do.” That caused Brother Jabril to open his eyes.
I must make this very clear. I’ve heard rumors (even as of yesterday) that Brother Jabril is in and out of a coma. That Brother Jabril is “mentally off” due to the stroke he suffered in February 2007. Both of those statements are completely false and baseless. For those who continue to spread these kinds of rumors, over the last 2 ½ years, since his stroke, of February 2007, where is your proof? Remember what the Honorable Elijah Muhammad teaches us, that Minister Farrakhan continues to teach and remind us of, that, if you repeat slander three times you become a part of it.
For those of you who have known Brother Jabril for however many years, he is still the same Brother. Well, let me put it this way. He is not the same Brother. Nobody goes through a ‘near-death experience’ and comes out of it the same. Brother Jabril had more than one ‘near death experience.’ Our Brother is stronger mentally. The part of his brain that was affected by the stroke was the part that controls speech. Brother Jabril can speak. Brother Jabril can write. Brother Jabril can read. He has problems retrieving words, but if one is patient with him, he can get the word out that he is searching for. Please study conduction aphasia and go back over Aphasia 1-7 that he produced.
This Aphasia condition has absolutely nothing to do with intelligence. His intelligence is above average. He can make informed decisions for himself. I must state, for the records that a seizure that he just suffered, does not cause brain damage. I pray Allah that this short writing will clear up some of the major misunderstandings about our Brother’s condition.
I was talking to a few Neurologists at the hospital. All of us agreed that Brother Jabril has an above average intelligences and thought process. That part of his brain that processes thoughts and intelligences carries over to the language part. He uses many, what you called, “Coping strategies” to communicate due to his condition. Coping strategies are verbal or nonverbal methods of communicating used by people who have aphasia. He can make himself very clear when he speaks.
It’s been one week since Brother Jabril was discharged from the hospital. If you were to see him now, you would hardly believe that he, just a few days earlier, was seconds away from death and on life support. Many have told me that he looks even younger or healthier now, than he looked before this most recent hospitalization, even though he’s not out of it yet. In Aphasia #9 or medical update #2, I intend to go into this.
I agreed with Minister Farrakhan’s words, 1000 percent when he said that Allah is the best knower. I can say this; he is speaking better than he was before this most recent episode. All praises are due to Allah.
Thank you for reading this short update. Please continue to visit as more updates are forthcoming, Allah’s Willing.
